Level 3A. Reading and spelling.
Understanding how single lower case letter sounds can be made up of letter combinations in the English writing system.
`Readspell` eigos.
The color and writing codes of the eigo teaching system rules dictate that all
eigos have their names written within the upper head area.
Readspell eigos each have two identical lower case alphabet letters written in red.
This indicates that the eigos are named after the short sounds of the alphabet.
The above eigo`s name is
jj
Readspell eigos are designed to help children understand the concept
that one sound in spoken English can be made up from a number of letter combinations in written English. The eigo jj shows how six letter combinations can be used to make up its name.
The Readspell eigos have transformed themselves into a more complex form of the original single eigo characters of the same letter combinations introduced in level one. This is in order to be more age appropriate in design and for easier use with multi media.
